LeaseNet Technology Leasing Solutions

Simplifying the procurement process for upgrading technology assets company-wide.

CHALLENGE:
A very large niche retailer had planned to refresh/upgrade over 600 of their technology assets which had been acquired from five different vendors. The project included refreshing over 500 PC's, upgrading an AS/400 and installing a new CISCO network. The company's challenge was to simplify their procurement process and maintain the most financial flexibility possible.

SOLUTION:
After evaluating the customer's current procurement process, including payment, billing, asset management, etc., LEASENET recommended a structure called a lease line. This solution gave the customer a pre-approved leasing line of credit, allowing the company to consolidate into one lease all the technology acquisitions they were going to make over a period of time. LEASENET also provided the customer with a purchase-leaseback arrangement to acquire the company's older point-of-sale equipment, giving the customer cash and covering their new technology assets with a lease.

RESULT:
With the lease-line arrangement, LEASENET paid the vendors on behalf of the customer as the equipment was acquired/upgraded. In addition, LEASENET consolidated the invoices into quarterly lease schedules that were coterminous. The result--all of the customer's needs were met, their procurement process was simplified, and they now had the financial flexibility they needed to continue to acquire new technology and upgrades as necessary.
